About Mimi’s Cafe

Founded in 1978 by Arthur Simms, who was stationed in France during World War II, Mimi’s Cafe is a neighborhood cafe offering French Inspired American comfort food. In February 2013 Mimi’s Cafe was purchased by Le Duff America, Inc., the North American subsidiary of Groupe Le Duff, a global bakery and restaurant company headquartered in Rennes, France. Since then, the team has launched new dishes reflecting the culinary traditions of fresh ingredients, bistro classics, and American comfort food. There are currently 97 Mimi’s Cafe locations throughout 18 states in the U.S.




5 Way Grilled Cheese

Mimi's Cafe Copycat Recipe

Serves 4

1/2 cup butter, softened
1 medium-large garlic clove, finely minced
1/4 teaspoon minced parsley
8 slices sourdough bread
3/4 cup shredded Parmesan cheese
4 slices Swiss cheese
4 slices Cheddar cheese
4 slices Monterey jack cheese
4 slices Mozzarella cheese

Make garlic butter spread by combining butter, garlic, and parsley in a small bowl. Spread butter mixture onto one side of each slice of bread. Dip each buttered slice bread into plate filled with grated Parmesan. Lay both pieces of bread on hot skillet or griddle and cook at the same time.

Add 2 slices of cheese to each piece of bread, Mozzarella and jack one side cheddar and Swiss other side. When the bread has browned put pieces together to make the sandwich & trim the crust off both sides of bread, leaving the top and bottom crust on the bread.
